Our Beloved Cameras
Every camera tells a story differently. Some capture fleeting moments on film, preserving them with a timeless, nostalgic feel. Others allow us to document a wedding day with precision, depth, and emotion.
Over the years, these have become some of our favorite tools for storytelling—each one bringing its own character, texture, and perspective to the memories we create.
Sony A7V
This is the camera we reach for throughout every wedding day. From fast-moving moments on the dance floor to quiet exchanges during the ceremony, it allows us to document events as they unfold with consistency and precision. Photographed at Flora Farms in San José del Cabo, it’s the backbone of our digital coverage and a camera we trust completely, whether we're capturing intimate celebrations or large destination weddings.
EOS-1 (35mm)
One of our favorite ways to photograph a wedding on film. Captured at Baja Luna in Mexico, the EOS-1 produces images that feel timeless without trying too hard—natural color, beautiful grain, and a softness that instantly brings a sense of nostalgia. Its film character pairs beautifully with Baja Luna’s desert surroundings and understated design, making even the simplest moments feel effortlessly romantic.
Kodak Super 8
There’s something about Super 8 that digital simply can’t replicate. Filmed at Kimpton Mas Olas in Todos Santos, the movement, texture, and imperfections create films that feel deeply personal, almost like memories revisited years later. The rhythm of the ocean, the coastal light, and the relaxed atmosphere of the venue make it the perfect format for capturing a wedding weekend in its most honest and nostalgic form.
Canon AF35M
A camera that keeps things spontaneous. Small and uncomplicated, it allows us to work instinctively and capture moments as they happen. Photographed at Acre in Cabo, it’s perfect for documenting the in-between moments that often define a wedding day. The result is a collection of images that feel candid, effortless, and full of personality.
Mamiya 645 AFD
Our medium format camera brings a different pace to the day. Photographed at Four Seasons Cabo del Sol, it encourages a more intentional approach, resulting in images with remarkable depth, detail, and texture. We often use it for portraits and quieter moments, where the beauty of the surroundings and the elegance of the celebration can be captured with a sense of refinement and care. Every frame feels considered.
We’re often asked which camera is our favorite. The truth is, each one serves a different purpose. What matters most is knowing when to use them, and how they help us preserve a wedding day in a way that feels both timeless and deeply personal.
