Isabella & Eduardo: A Three-Day Wedding Weekend in San Miguel de Allende

Some weddings are one afternoon. Isabella and Eddie's was three days, and every one of them told a different part of their story. The Cuban-American couple chose San Miguel de Allende not just for how it photographs, but because the city could hold everything they wanted: their culture, their friends, and a celebration that felt like them from start to finish.
Day One: A White Party Under the Trees
The weekend opened low-key, with a white party set under the trees at Hacienda Herencia de Allende, the same property that would host the wedding two days later. It set an easy tone before the bigger days ahead: string lights, quiet conversation, and a chance for both families to be together before the main event.
Day Two: A Callejoneada Through San Miguel
The next night moved into the city itself. Isabella and Eddie led their guests on a callejoneada, the traditional walking parade through San Miguel de Allende's historic streets, complete with mojigangas, the towering papier-mâché figures that are a fixture of Mexican celebrations, and a live mariachi band setting the pace. The parade ended with dinner on the rooftop at Quince, La Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel glowing in the background as the group settled in for the night.
The Wedding Day
The wedding closed out the weekend back at Hacienda Herencia de Allende, planned by Caro Rey. The ceremony took place at a whitewashed mission-style chapel on the property, its arched entrance framed in blush and cream roses, hydrangea, and greenery against a clear blue sky. Isabella wore a strapless, ruched ballgown with a long cathedral veil for the walk down the aisle.
For the reception, the celebration moved into a draped white tent that felt like its own room: ivory fabric pulled taut overhead, terracotta fringe pendant lamps hanging low over the tables, and garlands worked through the drapery. Long feast tables were set with rattan cane chairs and centerpieces in blush, burgundy, and cream, carrying the ceremony's palette straight through to dinner.
Once the meal wrapped, the night turned playful — a mini basketball hoop, branded "Isa & Eddy" for the occasion, kept guests moving between songs, and the dance floor stayed full well past midnight.
Three days, three moods, one couple who knew exactly what they wanted their wedding to feel like.
